CalPERS today released a comparison of different retirement benefit plans to help further the discussion on pensions and understanding of plan designs. Descriptions of the defined benefit, defined contribution and four different types of hybrid plans (traditional hybrid, banded defined benefit, cash balance, and stacked hybrid) are presented with information on each plan’s standard bearer of risk.
