Our own experience fighting rising health care costs is a prime example of the savings that can be realized at the national level. Our decisions and actions in recent years to remove the highest-cost hospitals from our networks, develop lower-cost health plan options, waive co-payments for wellness and preventive care, and educate members have saved more than $600 million.
